2026 SUMMER CAMPS

Sun’s Out, Fun’s Out!

Shine Bright Performing Arts summer camps are an amazing way for students in rising Grades 1-8 to explore and create, rehearse and hone, learn and enhance existing and new theatre performance skills. Summer camps are one week long experiences that culminate in a Shareformance, a casual sharing featuring what we learned for family and friends on Friday afternoons. Our camps are taught by Teaching Artists. Our Teaching Artists are experienced theater professionals with backgrounds in performing and arts education, who love to teach young people about the magic of performing!

All are welcome in our summer camps; no previous theatre experience is required. Theatre performance summer camps are best suited for young people with an interest in singing, dancing, acting, storytelling, or for those looking to try something new!

Students should be rising to any school grade 1-8 to participate. If your child just finished Kindergarten.

    * If your child is in High School and looking for something more challenging and focused, check out our Master Class Series for ages 5th-12th!

What age groups will be present during the camp day?

Our camps are broken into the following age ranges: Rising Grades 1-5, Rising Grades 1-8.

My child is very shy, but enjoys musicals. Do you think they would enjoy camp?

We encourage everyone to try camp at least once! It is okay if students are shy, there is a part to play for everyone! Theatre is a great way to build confidence in yourself and your abilities! Campers will gain valuable skills such as collaboration, creativity, and confidence in a fun and supportive environment.

    What is a Shareformance?

A Shareformance is a casual sharing featuring what we learned for family and friends on Friday afternoons in our space.

Will there be costumes or props for the Shareformance?

Generally Shareformances do not include any costumes or props, but if they are needed they will be simple and provided by us, though campers may be asked to wear a specific color or bring an item from home!

  • What time does camp start and end?

Camp runs from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM each day. You will receive a welcome letter via email prior to camp, but please know that check-in begins at 8:50 AM and pick up begins at 2:30 PM.

What will a typical camp day look like for my child?

Every day at camp might be a little different, but as a general rule, we will start each morning with warm ups (physical, vocal, imagination), then move into a variety of different activities depending on the camp theme. A musical theatre style camp will spend large portions of the day learning music and choreography, while an acting focused camp may have more time spent on reading scripts and working on character development. All camps have short breaks throughout the day, quick access to a bathroom and water fountain, and a 30 minute lunch break. There will be time for theatre games and bonding with other campers. All camps are working towards a 15-20 minute Shareformance on Friday afternoon, so all students will be rehearsing throughout the week in preparation for that!

Do you provide lunch? Is there a microwave and refrigerator available?

We do not provide lunch, so please plan to pack a lunch, snack, and water bottle each day. We do not have refrigerators or microwaves available for campers, so please plan to pack items that do not require those appliances.

What should my child wear to camp?

Comfortable, movement-friendly clothing and closed-toe shoes! Open toed shoes or sandals are not permitted.

What should my child bring each day?

Campers should  bring a packed lunch and snack and a full water bottle with their name on it. That’s it! Please do not bring any personal items such as toys or electronics. Campers may choose to place their belongings in a backpack, and may be given scripts or lyric sheets throughout the week to rehearse at home. We ask that all items be clearly marked with the child’s name.

Can I observe during the camp day?

For the safety and focus of our campers, we maintain a closed-door policy. If you have any concerns or need to contact your child during camp hours, please reach out to us at admin@shinebrightperformingarts.com. A phone number will be provided the week of your child’s camp.

  • How do I register my child for camp?

You can register online through our website www.shinebrightperformingarts.com/summer2026. Spaces are limited, so early registration is encouraged!

We offer refunds, minus a processing fee, until 30 days before camp begins. At that time we no longer allow any refunds. We also do not offer refunds for missed camp days, including for illness or scheduling conflicts. In the case of camp cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances, we will notify families of refund or credit options.

Do you offer financial aid or sibling discounts?

We do accept Step Up and other homeschool program government funding.

At this time we do not offer any sibling discounts or payment plans.

We believe all young people have a place here at Shine Bright, regardless of financial resources. If you are in need of financial aid, please contact us at admin@shinebrightperformingarts.com.

  • What if my child has an allergy or medical condition?

All are welcome in our program! In order for us to be informed, train our staff, and be prepared to best meet your child’s needs, please inform us during registration of any allergies or medical conditions.
